Data Privacy Day is celebrated annually on the 28th January to raise awareness and promote the importance of why personal information should be protected. This day is particularly important to educate businesses about the correct practices they should be following and to inform the public about their personal rights.
What is data protection?
Data protection is essential when personal information is being handled by individuals, it is all about the fair and proper use of data when it is being collected, processed or distributed by businesses. The act protects the privacy of individuals and outlines the rules businesses should be following.
