An established and well respected accountancy practice in Cambridgeshire is looking to appoint an experienced Company Secretary to join their growing team.

This is a hands on role managing a varied portfolio of SME and owner managed business clients. You will take ownership of statutory compliance, client communication and governance support, working closely with Partners and the wider advisory team.

Job Duties:

• Prepare and file Confirmation Statements and Companies House forms

• Maintain statutory registers (PSC, directors, shareholders)

• Manage company incorporations (Ltd & LLP)

• Draft board minutes, written resolutions and dividend documentation

• Process changes to directors, share capital, shareholders and registered offices

• Monitor filing deadlines and ensure compliance

• Act as main point of contact for allocated clients

• Liaise with accountants, tax specialists, solicitors and banks

• Support share allotments, transfers and basic reorganisations

• Maintain accurate records within secretarial software

• Assist with AML checks, onboarding and ongoing monitoring

• Handle professional clearance requests

• Support billing preparation and engagement updates

What we are looking for:

Essential -

• 2–3 years’ company secretarial experience within a UK practice

• Strong working knowledge of the Companies Act 2006

• Experience using Companies House WebFiling and/or secretarial software

• Confident managing multiple deadlines independently

Desirable -

• CGI (ICSA) part-qualified or qualified by experience

• Exposure to share restructures or capital reorganisations

• Experience with practice management systems
