What is Blue Monday?
Blue Monday comes around every year and lands on the third Monday in January. The day gets its name by supposedly being the saddest most depressing day of the year. We find ourselves in cold weather, having post-Christmas bills and possibly breaking our new year’s resolutions already.
The question is how can we compact Blue Monday?...
Spend time doing something you love.
Spend time today when you get back from work by doing something that makes you feel good, get out and go for a walk, have a pamper evening, have whatever dinner makes you feel happy a nice healthy one or a cheat one! Have a film night in or go out for the evening. The whole idea is to do something that makes you happy even if you have to force yourself to do it today. As a team we have a darts tournament set for lunch time today and a big bowl of fresh fruit in the office.
Always remain kind and thoughtful to others
Today is a day that is set to be the saddest day of the year and a lot of people are going through different things alongside this today, so just be kind. Today we made a note to every person in the team some nice words that they may need to hear today to spread the kindness and motivate the team. Kind words are free and make a big difference to someone’s day.
Spend time thinking about your future plans, make them achievable.
Making goals that are achievable will help build your confidence and make you feel like you are working towards the bigger goals you have set for the year.
