This is an exciting role for a time served, experience TIG welder specialising in high end stainless steel welding to support hi-tech industries such as pharmaceutical and medical.  The successful candidates will be able to produce welds of top quality and visually pleasing when left as laid.  We are seeking hands-on welders to join an established team who pride themselves as being amongst the best welders in the UK. Duties to Include

‍

• Prepare and adjust TIG welding machines as per project requirements

• Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications to determine weld requirements- troubleshoot and collaborate with the team to overcome any issues on new projects.

• Weld components and tube on stainless steel and other high nickel alloys.

• Check workpiece for defects before and after welding to ensure welds meet high-quality standards

• Identify defects and carry out necessary rework.

• Prepare surfaces to ensure proper weld penetration

• Adhere to workplace procedures and keep a clean and tidy environment

What we are looking for:

‍

• A time served TIG welder, ideally apprentice trained with 8 years + experience

• Ideally NVQ qualified

• A good team player

• Ambitious to progress to a more senior role

• Ideally some experience of supervising/mentoring junior staff.
