We’re looking for a Senior Site Manager to oversee Engineering & Maintenance, manage CAPEX projects, and ensure compliance with COMAH standards. You’ll lead mechanical and electrical installations (including Hazardous Areas), act as Legionella Responsible Person, drive safety culture, and monitor performance via KPIs.

You have: a degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering, 5+ years in COMAH or process manufacturing, strong UK electrical knowledge, and proven E&I project leadership.

Job Duties:

• Lead the Engineering and Maintenance function, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Develop and deliver the site maintenance strategy within agreed budgets.

• Work with the Project Manager to define and implement CAPEX plans for future business needs.

• Act as process owner for maintenance and engineering procedures, ensuring full regulatory and audit compliance.

• Oversee the design and installation of mechanical and electrical assets, including those in Hazardous Areas.

• Act as Legionella Responsible Person for hot and cold water systems.

• Monitor maintenance and engineering performance through KPIs focused on asset integrity, reliability, and budget control.

• Support the SHEQ team in delivering the COMAH improvement plan and fostering a positive safety culture.

• Provide expert advice on process safety, environmental, and security matters.

• Ensure all site activities follow appropriate management systems and comply with COMAH standards (e.g., MOC, HAZOP/HAZID, LOPA).

• Lead emergency response planning and training, coordinating with local emergency services and national resilience agencies.

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in a COMAH, chemical, or process manufacturing environment

• Proven experience managing Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) maintenance and projects, including budget ownership

• Strong working knowledge of UK electrical standards and regulations

• Solid understanding of functional safety principles and industrial control systems

• Experience working with permit-to-work systems

• Skilled in contractor management and promoting site safety leadership

• Proficient in using CMMS and engineering design tools such as AutoCAD

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational abilities
