Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate daily workloads across all production areas to maximise output and efficiency.

• Ensure full compliance with stock control procedures, working closely with the stock management team.

• Lead day-to-day supervision of the team, ensuring work is completed to operational expectations.

• Deliver clear training, guidance and ongoing support to new starters to aid smooth integration.

• Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality standards, ensuring all legal requirements are met.

• Oversee daily site opening and closing routines, safeguarding security and operational readiness.

• Hold regular review meetings with the Production Manager to discuss performance and improvements.

• Champion Health & Safety best practice and foster a culture where safe working is a priority.

• Demonstrate strong, proactive leadership that promotes engagement, accountability and high work standards.

• Represent and uphold the organisation’s values in all aspects of team management and daily operations.

• Ensure the production area remains clean, organised and compliant with safety requirements.

• Identify workflow or operational issues and implement practical, effective improvement measures.

• Respond quickly to warehouse concerns to prevent disruptions and maintain smooth production flow

Skills, competency and expectation:

• Proven ability to lead confidently in a fast-paced environment, taking decisive action, motivating teams and maintaining performance under pressure.

• Strong grasp of effective motivational techniques, with the ability to recognise team strengths and promote a positive, collaborative and improvement-focused culture.

• Minimum 3 experience within a production environment, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leadership position.

• Relevant qualifications in leadership, production management or Health & Safety—such as IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)

• Strong proficiency with production management systems and tools.

• Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities through structured planning, effective time management and clear task execution.
