Working as part of a small team that supply bricks into the construction industry this role is to work on the bladed butting machine, lifting bricks onto the machine and then stacking the cut bricks onto pallets. A Counterbalance forklift licence would be advantageous for this role as you can then move stock around the stores. Our client is looking for temporary cover during a peak period, but they do have the potential for future long term permanent employment in the future for reliable candidates. Steel Toe Cap boots are required for this role.

Job Duties:

• Lifting 3 – 6 bricks onto the cutting machine

• Lifting cut bricks off the machine onto pallets

• Moving pallets around the stores if you hold a valid forklift license

• Working to daily targets of 10,000 bricks being cut

• Working in a team of 3 other staff to ensure the daily targets are met

What we are looking for:

• Good physical health – no previous injuries

• Ability to lift the weight of up to 6 bricks at a time

• Good time keeping and attendance record

• Ability to work under pressure and to targets
