We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team in the grain processing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately collecting, recording, and maintaining data related to grain quality and production processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with basic hand tools and some background in assembly, production, or laboratory work. Key qualities for success include strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and confidence in using data entry systems. Familiarity with lab equipment and procedures related to grain testing is a plus. Duties will include:

• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately for grain sample testing

• Prepare and test grain samples (e.g. moisture, protein, impurities) using lab equipment

• Calibrate and maintain lab instruments

• Record and analyse test data using Excel or lab systems

• Report any quality issues or out-of-spec results

• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy

• Keep the lab clean, organized, and well-stocked

Key skills and attributes required:

• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Previous lab, calibration, or production experience is a plus (training provided)

• Able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel
