We are seeking a field service engineer who has experience in the repair and/or servicing of electro-mechanical equipment. You will be able to read diagrams and schematics and demonstrate a methodical approach to your work.

We are looking for candidates who are based in the Midlands area and able to cover Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester and Nottingham. You will be working on your own initiative but will be part of supportive team.

Job Duties:

• Install, assemble, and set up new gym equipment according to manufacturer specifications.

• Perform safety checks to ensure all equipment meets industry and company standards.

• Conduct regular maintenance visits, including cleaning, lubrication, calibration, and part replacement.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or software issues on gym equipment.

• Provide on-site service and minimize downtime for customers.

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand issues and explain solutions.

• Educate customers on proper use and care of their equipment.

• Keep detailed records of services performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.

• Coordinate with senior engineers and team members on complex repairs or installations.

• Manage tools, parts, and inventory to ensure supplies are ready for service calls.

• Follow all health, safety, and compliance procedures during service work.

• Maintain company vehicles in clean, safe, and working condition.

• Travel to client sites as needed and work flexible hours when required.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in the repair or servicing of electro-mechanical equipment, reading diagrams and schematics

• Self-motivated and the ability to work well on your own initiative

• A full, clean UK driving license

• Able to trouble-shoot and keep calm under pressure

• Solution focused

• A good standard of PC Literacy

• Experience of Networks/Networked products
