We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Yard Foreman to join our client’s operation in Cambridgeshire. You will oversee yard operations across multiple sites, ensuring facilities run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Daily use of forklifts, telehandlers and other machinery will form a key part of this role, along with travel between locations. A positive attitude and flexibility to support various tasks across the business are essential.

Job Duties:

• Conduct daily checks across multiple sites to maintain safe, tidy yards and efficiently running storage facilities

• Ensure stores are filled correctly with accurate box and crop labelling

• Manage maintenance of yards and storage boxes

• Carry out daily checks on storage sheds and support Crop Storage and Farm Managers to maintain quality

• Oversee grading of crop into and out of stores to meet quality standards

• Liaise with contractors, hauliers and other third parties

• Work towards set KPIs and ensure standards are upheld

• Maintain accurate data for crop movements, goods in/out and storage systems

• Uphold site health and safety and induct visitors when required

• Make recommendations for improvements and support smooth day-to-day operations

What we are looking for:

• Valid forklift and telehandler certificates – essential

• Experience within fresh produce – desirable

• Tractor driving experience – desirable

• Basic understanding of IT systems / apps (training provided) – essential

• Full driving licence (max 3 points) and own transport – essential

• Strong organisational skills and ability to maintain high standards
