We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join a professional kitchen team at a well-established venue in Ely. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong eye for detail, and enjoys creating high-quality dishes. A background in a pub or restaurant kitchen is highly desirable, as it brings valuable experience in volume cooking, service timing, and working under pressure. You’ll play a key role in food preparation and service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen.

Duties will include:

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to company standards

• Ensuring food is prepared in a timely manner and in line with food hygiene regulations

• Monitoring portion control and waste to maintain cost-efficiency

• Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service

• Supporting menu planning and contributing ideas for new dishes

• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas

Key skills and attributes required:

• Previous experience as a Chef or in a similar kitchen role

• Pub or restaurant background is highly desirable

• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet service deadlines

• Good communication skills and a team-player attitude

• Creative approach to food and attention to presentation

• Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic
