We’re looking for a confident and commercially focused Buyer to join a busy supply chain team within the engineering and manufacturing industry. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys getting the best deals, managing key suppliers, and working closely with technical teams to keep projects running smoothly. You’ll need excellent organisational and planning skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

Job Duties:

• Sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and services

• Building and maintaining key supplier relationships

• Leading cost-reduction and value improvement initiatives

• Negotiating terms and contracts to secure the best outcomes

• Working closely with engineering, production, and quality teams

• Supporting continuous improvement and supply chain resilience

What we are looking for:

• Ideally 3+ years’ experience as a Buyer (but open to levels of experience)

• Proven background in engineering or manufacturing environments

• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills

• Organised, analytical, and confident in planning workloads

• ERP/MRP system knowledge

• CIPS qualification is a bonus – not essential
