We are currently working on behalf of a well-established engineering company in Cambridge who are currently going through company growth and are looking to take on an Assembly Operator. You will have great attention to detail, following specific technical drawings, assembling products that to a high standard.

Duties:

• Assemble electronic and mechanical components accurately and efficiently using provided tools, documentation, and specifications

• Perform regular checks on tools and equipment, reporting faults or maintenance needs promptly to the Assembly Manager.

• Ensure all health, safety, and environmental procedures are followed.

• Promote and model compliance with company policies regarding attendance, punctuality, and break schedules, encouraging a culture of professionalism and accountability.

• Collaborate as part of a production team to meet daily output and quality targets, contributing to continuous performance improvements.

• Assist in the introduction of new products by following procedures, recording relevant data, and providing feedback as necessary.

• Keep work order systems and production records up to date to ensure accurate reporting and workflow tracking.

• Proactively identify and resolve issues with components or assembly processes to minimise downtime and ensure product quality.

• Train and develop skills to set up production equipment as required, supporting versatility within the team.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Electro-Mechanical, Soldering or Assembly experience

• Computer literate, with experience of ERP or MRP operating systems. Able to use Microsoft packages to an intermediate level of expertise.

• Ambition to want to grow within an organisation

• Ability to use hand tools

• Have a ‘can do’ attitude

• Great attention to detail

• Team player
