We are currently recruiting for a French Speaking Accounts Assistant to join a well-established, global manufacturing company based in Ely. This is an entry-level opportunity that would suit someone who is confident communicating in French, has a keen eye for detail and enjoys working with numbers. Previous accounts experience would be beneficial, particularly within sales or purchase ledger, although a positive attitude, strong organisational skills and a willingness to learn are equally important. You'll be supporting the company's UK and French accounts operations, with plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career.

Job Duties:

‍

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the sales and purchase ledgers
• Processing customer and supplier invoices accurately
• Contacting French customers regarding outstanding payments
• Matching incoming payments against outstanding invoices
• Resolving customer and supplier invoice queries
• Preparing credit notes, customer statements and reconciliations
• Processing expenses, credit card transactions and direct debits
• Assisting with supplier payment runs and remittance advice
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end processes
• Liaising with French customers and suppliers via telephone and email
• Supporting the wider accounts team with additional finance duties

What we are looking for:

‍

• Fluent or highly proficient French language skills – essential
• Confident communicating with French customers and suppliers
• Previous experience within an accounts or finance department is desirable
• Sales ledger or credit control experience would be advantageous
• Good Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of Dynamics 365 would be beneficial
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
