We applied for the Service Excellence award in August 2021 and received our finalist letter through on the 3rd December, then being announced as the gold winner on the 23rd March 2022!
How do we ensure Service Excellence you may ask? We ensure that all members of staff complete regular training with our governing body, the REC and external sources such as Cambridge Network. These enable us to take a pro-active approach to being experts in our field, but also ensuring that we can provide a professional service. Our training programme is extensive and reviewed on a bi-annual basis. On a monthly basis we hold a team values meeting, in which we discuss how we have met and exceeded our core values, these include: Honesty, Reputation, Discipline, Community, Experts, Challenge, Integrity, Helping Others. All staff sign into our core values when they join the company and if we feel that any areas of those values have not been met, we challenge ourselves to do something better next month – always striving for continuous improvement. We generally like to treat candidates and clients like people, we are all human and we want everyone to see us as an approachable and friendly company.
Our business has grown organically through word of mouth and recommendations which are based on the service that we provide to anyone who works with us. Being a small independent company, we rely heavily on the kind words of others to ensure that we remain busy, but also successful. Providing service excellence has helped us grow and maintain relationships with clients who provide us with vacancies throughout the year, in return this helps the local economy by providing a larger number of jobs to the unemployed. Our customer feedback has helped us to develop our reputation which is recognised through the Cambridgeshire area. We currently hold a 5* Trustpilot account that has 78 positive reviews from service users including companies and job seekers. We have a 5* Rating on Google with 71 reviews which can be found by googling our business, alongside direct reviews on our company website.
Business of the year under 50 employees: We were nominated for this award due to the strength of our initial application by the judges and were announced the gold winner on the evening! We have taken steps to future proof our organisation during the last 12 months using the pandemic as an opportunity to re-scale and diversify our brand with our Director, Kayleigh, always looking to see the positive in these unprecedented times. We took the opportunity to create job openings for over 8 staff since January 2021, increased our use of technology and digitalisation of the business in order to support the recruitment of a large number of candidates over 2021, and supported the local community and charities. We believe we are deserving of the title “Business of The Year” due to the showing of our resilience during the most testing of times, for our persistence to grow and succeed despite the biggest challenges we have ever faced as an organisation.
