We are looking for a specialist Machine Operator to join our client based on the outskirts of Ely. For this role it is essential that you have experience of working within precision engineering and obtain a strong background in machining components. The successful candidate must also be experienced in using micrometer measuring equipment.

Duties will include:

• Produce first-off components for inspection
• Ensure components are produced to the highest standards as per specifications and drawings
• Inspect components during production to ensure drawing / spec requirements are maintained
• Adjusting the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
• Conducts tests and inspections of products
• Evaluate quality of components
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment if required
• Use of micrometer, measuring in both imperial and metrics

Skills and Experience:

• Experience of Precision Engineering
• Previous machining experience is essential
• Competence in measuring in both metric and imperial using a micrometer is essential
• Good manual dexterity
• Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills
