Seeking a Sales / Lettings Negotiator – Bedford

We are currently recruiting two positions on behalf of our client based in Bedford. These exciting positions are to work within a modern and reputable Estate Agency. The purpose of these roles will be to champion residential sales and lettings. It is essential for this role that you have previous experience of working within estate agency we will consider candidates who have experience in either Sales or Lettings Negotiation, both would be desirable!

Start: ASAP
Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire
Hourly Rate: £negotiable + commission!
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6pm, 2 Saturdays every month 9am to 5pm
Car: Access to a pool car for appointments

To be suitable for this role you should genuinely like dealing with people and have a real interest in property and believe passionately in delivering high customer service levels. You will need drive and determination to succeed in winning business and creating opportunity. 

Specific Lettings Duties:

  • Generate and carry out potential letting valuation appointments for the office
  • Assist with weekly touting and canvassing to ensure it is carried out consistently
  • Ensure all to let properties in your area are actively and consistently touted
  • Continuously target private landlords on private letting sites like Gumtree
  • Letting properties together with ancillary services of mortgages and other services
  • Ensure when letting properties, all correct money handling and legislation is applied to
  • Keep office up to date with all lettings and property management legislation

General Duties: 

  • Generate and carry out viewings
  • Assist with weekly touting and canvassing to ensure it is carried out consistently
  • Keeping on top of all applicants ensuring they are informed of all new properties
  • Work with a team to ensure your daily basics are carried out to win new business
  • Deal with portal enquiries effectively and quickly
  • Be punctual to the office and to appointments
  • Attend short morning meeting each day
  • Attend monthly staff appraisals and reviews
  • Ensure your office software system is kept up to date and all business is put through QUBE
  • Work towards achieving targets as agreed with office owner
  • Work with the office owner to progress sales to a completion

  • Happy to canvas and tout heavily in the area
