Sales and Customer Support Administrator


Seeking a Sales and Customer Support Administrator – Cambridge 

We are looking for candidates that come with experience of working in a Manufacturing or Scientific industry for this position, as this role will be working within a technical environment it is essential that you have worked within a technical industry previously. You will have exceptional customer service skills and hold previous experience of supporting a full sales cycle. This position is to provide an all-round administrative support and to develop strong relationships with existing clients and customers. 

Start: ASAP
Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £24,000 – £28,000 DOE
Hours: 9am – 5pm or 8am – 4pm (flexibility can be offered)
Benefits: 4 x death in service insurance, 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (increases over 5 years), 6% pension, Toil system for flexible working hours, discretionary bonus 


  • Supporting the full sales cycle process
  • Offering support to both customers and stakeholders
  • Working with internal departments to meet various deadlines
  • Developing relationships with potential and existing customers
  • Understanding a customer’s full requirements by fact finding at initial enquiry stage
  • Proactively identify opportunities for cross-selling / up-selling with existing accounts
  • Initiate contacts with new potential customers
  • Re-establish relationships with dormant customers
  • Maintenance of records to ensure correct information for internal reports
  • Attend internal and external meetings
  • Ensure that the actions agreed at meetings are completed by agreed timescales
  • Provide accurate and effective sales support to Sales and Senior Management Team
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency of the Sales team
  • Assist in updating and managing website content if required

Key Skills:               

  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Well-organised with the ability to prioritise a complex workload
  • Excellent attention to detail and an eye for accuracy
  • Confident and eloquent communicator both written and verbal
  • Strong customer service skills particularly complaints handling
  • Experience of using CRM and MRP systems is required
