Ensure that you have a key skills section on your CV that promotes the most relevant parts of your skill set to match each application you put in, therefore not sending one blanket CV for multiple roles, send an individual CV tailored for the job you’re applying for which should see you get a greater level of interviews for each role you apply for

Know your worth – be ready to tell your interviewers your strengths as an employee and at least 1 key achievement you have in each of your roles listed on your CV. This shows the prospective employers your journey through your career and is a subtle way to sell yourself to them without coming across overconfident

Where possible, phone the client you’ve applied too & let them know you’ve sent across an application. It will show that you're interested & keen, and that you're not just applying for every role your coming across

Take a note pad with questions rather than trying to remember everything – even if they have answered everything you may have wanted to ask, always still try ask one more question. This shows you are engaged and keen to learn as much about them. Think about questions you may want to know about the company or culture or them as an individual
