Production Supervisor

Hours: 3 months training required where you will be working Monday – Friday 08:00am – 16:30pm after training has been completed the core hours will be Monday – Thursday, 2:00pm – 00:00am
Reward: £11 per hour + holiday pay
Start: ASAP

We are working on behalf of our manufacturing client based on the outskirts of Warboys who are looking for a Machine Supervisor. You will be overseeing the machines and ensuring that they are operating and running efficiently. This is a temporary position with the opportunity to go permanent for the right person with 3 months training provided. This is an exciting time to join the team as there is opportunity for progression within the company.

Due to the location of the client you will need to drive and have your own transport. Free parking is available on site and it is important that you are of fit health for this role as it will involve lifting of heavy materials.             


  • Supporting the Workshop team and working to deadlines to complete the orders efficiently
  • Completing morning team meetings with the production staff including a Production plan, customer complaints, customer enquiries, performance data and targets for each shift and organisation of staff breaks
  • Managing the workshop team to ensure they are performing effectively
  • In the event of machine downtime organising other duties for the team
  • Ensuring that the team are adhering to the health & safety measures
  • Communicating with the team, identifying potential production shortfalls and quality issues
  • Assisting the Manager in organising the training schedules for the team
  • Ensuring all team members follow the Safe System of work standards correctly
  • Carrying out and recording daily safety checks
  • Keeping the Factory production area clean and tidy whilst working

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience conducting tool box talks
  • Experience of safe working practices within manufacturing environment
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing setting
  • Dealing with various manufacturing issues
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing or six sigma would be an advantage but not essential
