We are seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer to join our client on a permanent basis. We are not looking for someone who has basic skills, but we are wanting a candidate who has set up their own RF setup and the context behind the set up and equipment used. This is a skilled role and we would only encourage applications from candidates who have in depth RF knowledge that can perform well under pressure at interview stage.

You will support RFID products as they move through development and into customer supply chains, from characterisation of individual integrated circuits, to design and validation of novel antenna and tag designs in new use cases and form factors.

Key tasks:

Design, develop and implement evaluation procedures for tags and RF communication protocols Informing of improvements in existing designs and processes
Advise and support on customer applications
Design and implement application demonstrators
Write custom code to analyse data and results at scale
Identify root causes and advocate potential solutions

Skills and Experience Required:

Degree or post-graduate in electronics, physics or another relevant discipline
Experience with RFID systems and applications
Hands-on experience of using RF test equipment: oscilloscopes, function generators, VNAs, etc
Samples of experience in analysing data in Python, R, or equivalent
Previous experience of antenna design for HF RFID
A strong understanding of electronics and its core principles
