Our client, based on the outskirts of Soham, is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding team. To be suitable for this role you will have experience of working on production or packaging equipment, you will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure trying to keep down time to a minimum.

Duties include:

• Preventative maintenance in a planned schedule (PPM)
• Carrying out planned work to ensure equipment and services are maintained
• Deal with machinery breakdowns and malfunctions
• Fault finding and problem solving to keep downtime to a minimum
• Providing electrical and mechanical diagnostic checks
• Helping to improve systems and procedures to improve the departments operations
• Ensuring all areas of work are kept clean at all times
• Undertake daily inspection checks before commencing any job
• Undertake administrative tasks that are relevant to duties such as record keeping

Skills and Experience Required:

• Highly skilled within both Electrical and Mechanical engineering with demonstratable experience
• Previous experience working within a food production environment is also essential
• Reactive and pre-planned maintenance
• Welding experience
• Technical mind-set
• Ability to plan and prioritise activities
• Strong fault finding skills
