We are currently for a Mechanical Assembler on behalf of a reputable engineering business based on the outskirts of Ely. The suitable candidate will have previous engineering or manufacturing experience and have a passion for automotive mechanical work.

Duties will include:

• Assembling a range of automotive components to required standards
• Read work orders and engineering drawings
• Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear
• Assemble equipment using hand tools
• Adjust components according to specifications
• Clean equipment, parts, or tools to maintain them in good working order
• Always keep the working area clean and tidy

Skills and Experience Required:

• Previous experience working within engineering or manufacturing positions.
• Knowledge and awareness of automotive components is essential
• Ability to work from technical engineering drawings
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Problem solving approach and methodical mindset
