This is a brand-new role created with our client and would suit candidates who have experience of driving change and embedding and culture across health and safety within a manufacturing setting with positive results.

To be suitable for this position you will hold a NEBOSH certificate alongside a proven background within manufacturing, other industry experience will not be considered. 

Duties:

• Adopting good health and safety practice across the site
• Understand statutory requirements and ensure these are met
• Develop, implement and manage the Health and Safety system
• Define company Health and Safety policy and procedures
• Define and measure a set of Health and Safety KPI’s
• Define and manage a process for accident investigation – providing reports on findings
• Implement and administer audit system and ensure audit findings are addressed
• Undertake risk assessments, implement mitigations, and produce Safe Systems of Work
• Review contractor risk assessment, method statements and issue permits to work
• Consult representatives from all areas of the business on proposed Health and Safety changes
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the latest H&S requirements and practices
• Conduct training on new Health and Safety practices
• Continuous improvement across the H&S within the site

Requirements and Qualifications: 

• Prior experience in a Health and Safety management within a manufacturing environment is essential
• NEBOSH general certificate in occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
