We are looking for a skilled Business Manager to join our team at Busy Bee Recruitment. This role is to promote the expansion and growth of the business alongside overseeing every recruitment division within the organisation. You will be a skilled Manager with hands on experience of leading a team, with a hungry and tenacious attitude. You will hold entrepreneurial skills and have aspirations of furthering your career within the company in the future. It is essential for this role that you have experience within the Recruitment industry and that you hold knowledge of both temporary and permanent recruitment practices.

This role will be responsible for the running of the business from a commercial point of view in the absence of the Founder on maternity leave and beyond. You will be responsible for bringing new business to the company alongside working towards financial targets, both on an individual and a team basis. You will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by providing support across many functions. It will be expected that you will attend networking events and support the business in front of clients as and when requested.


  • To lead the company and team to meet their own individual and company targets
  • Overseeing 6 divisions within the organisation and playing a key part in the growth of those divisions, both financially and with staff numbers
  • Providing holiday cover for staff on annual leave being an active recruiter when required
  • Ensure the company meets relevant profit targets
  • To set and monitor achievable KPI’s for the team
  • Lead to team meetings on a regular basis
  • Improve current processes and procedures for the benefit of the company
  • Hold regular 1-2-1’s with your staff members
  • Recruitment and Selection of new team members
  • Dealing with staff grievances and disciplinaries
  • To oversee and support payroll for temporary staff
  • To provide weekly sales reports to the director
  • To sign off on all term’s negotiations
  • To assist in growing the average fee for the company
  • Active and present across Social Media to promote the company
  • Hold monthly sales analysis meetings with staff and then report to the director on findings
  • Performance management of underperforming staff
  • Comply with all relevant employment legislation and appropriate codes of practice
  • Comply with all relevant sector specific legislation
  • Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation, employee rights and responsibilities

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years working at Management level
  • Ideally more than 5 years in recruitment
  • Certificate in Recruitment Practice (Desirable)
  • Strong understanding of the importance of marketing within a business
  • Active and present across Social Media
  • Self-motivated and able to identify opportunities for business growth
  • Tenacious and resilient to change
  • Ambitious, driven and determined to achieve targets and objectives
  • Problem solving will be a key strength
  • Strong influencing, questioning and listening skills
  • Innovative and always looking for continuous improvement
  • Customer focused approach
  • Strong time management and organisation skills
  • Appropriately presented
