We are currently recruiting for a Production Team Leader on behalf of one of our clients based in Ely who are a leading manufacturing company within their industry. You will have previous experience of managing people and would have worked within a production / manufacturing industry previously. 

Duties will include:

• Ensure that all production staff are following all health and safety guidelines all assemblers and PPE requirements
• Daily team meetings with Production staff to outline duties, objectives and issues that arise
• Ensure that all production issues are escalated to the Production Manager
• Aware of an shift changes and add these changes to the systems
• Motivating team members to ensure targets are being delivered
• Monitoring 5S activities to ensure that they are followed
• Implement new processes within Production to increase efficiency
• Completing quarterly appraisals and 1-to-1 meetings
• Assist management with hiring and training new starters, and provide performance assessments
• Conduct Return to Work interviews and disciplinary actions (warnings, performance improvement plan, etc.)

Skills and Experience Required:

• MUST have previous experience in either a supervisory or team leader role
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of Mechanical manufacturing Assembly techniques
• Desire to improve quality and performance
• Confidently use Windows / Microsoft packages
• Strong communication skills and flexible approach
• Ability lead and motivate a team
• Problem solver
• Confidently lead by example
