We are currently seeking a Landscape Designer to support an established company based in Cambridge on a 3-month contract basis which has the potential to go permanent. The role will be to support with drawings of both smaller and large projects using a range of drawing packages such as CAD, Photoshop and Sketchup. This is a great opportunity to support a busy team and work on some exciting projects.

To be suitable for this role you will have experience of designing and drawing landscape projects to a high standard. You will have knowledge of drawing packages and be able to bring a creative flare to the projects. You must also have landscaping knowledge predominately within hard landscaping as well as great knowledge of plants.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting the design team with drawings for multiple projects
  • Creating designs and drawings to meet client expectations
  • Carrying out site visits to visually see the projects before putting drawings in place
  • Using drawing programmes such as CAD, Photoshop, Sketchup and other programmes
  • Being creative and thoughtful to each design and drawing
  • Discussing with the client the drawings and ideas
  • Using your planting knowledge to best advise clients and add to project plans
  • General administration within the office

Skills and Experience required:

  • MUST have a degree in Landscape Design or similar
  • MUST have proven knowledge of plants and planting plans
  • Ability to produce designs on drawing packages such as CAD, Photoshop, Sketchup and other drawing programs
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Hard working and enthusiastic
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn
  • Full UK clean driving license
