Goods-In Inspection Technician

Working on behalf of a reputable company that processes raw and fresh ingredients we are seeking candidates who have experience of working in either a warehouse or quality environment. The purpose of this role is to work in the stores sampling all the goods that come in against quality standards.  There is no requirement for candidates to have experience in this position as training will be provided for the right candidate.

 

Duties will include:

  • Sampling and inspection of ingredients and finished products
  • Using stock management system to keep accurate records of stock
  • Filling in and maintaining necessary quality documents
  • Manual handling of heavy goods within the warehouse
  • Supporting complaint investigations
  • Support internal and external audits where required
  • Keeping the sampling area organised and clean
  • Compliance with site Health and Safety requirements

Key skills and attributes required:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Accurate analyst with outstanding attention to detail
  • Team player with the ability to work alone
  • Flexible approach to work within all required areas of the business
  • Ability to work on long-term projects
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, with strong MS Excel skills
