Empowering Growth...
The World Day for Safety and Health at Work is an annual international day to promote safe, healthy and decent work. The day is held on 28th April and has been observed by the International Labour Organisation since 2003. Research from awareness days tells us that 6,300 people die as a result of occupational accidents or work-related diseases more than 2.3 million deaths a year.
We are all responsible for stopping deaths and injuries at work and the government is responsible for providing the correct laws and services necessary to ensure that we abide by these laws and keep safe in the workplace. Employers are responsible for making sure that the workplace is safe and abide by laws and regulations. Workers are responsible for protecting themselves and to make sure they do not endanger others. If we all follow the rules and regulations then we can have a happy and safe workplace.
