Seeking an Office Furniture Sales Account Manager – Peterborough

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the sales team for one of our clients based in Peterborough, for an experienced sales professional to drive new business and manage an existing client base. This would suit an all-round sales professional with a high success rate within new business development and a strong background in cross-selling.

Start: ASAP
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 40hr Week – 08:30am – 17:30pm
Salary: £22,000 – £24,000 + Commission + Company Car/Car Allowance + Expenses (OTE £80K+)


  • To meet targets by maintaining, developing and increasing sales of products into both existing and new accounts
  • To introduce new products to clients and use suspense techniques to qualify interest
  • Support the development of product presence throughout the company’s accounts
  • Preparation of quotes, contracts and product information ensuring accuracy throughout
  • Where necessary, create and present CAD plans to clients upon request
  • Full administrations responsibilities for all work carried out, ensuring that all reports and company-wide records are always accurate and up to date
  • To provide leads successfully gained through cross-selling techniques to sales colleagues in other departments
  • Always aim to exceed targets


  • Furniture and/or workplace manufacturing industry experience ESSENTIAL
  • Exceptional knowledge and experience within sales
  • Experience of communicating and presenting to C-Level clients
  • An accurate and analytical approach to the sales process
  • Knowledge of sales techniques for various types of corporate sales
  • Excellent communication skills by telephone, email and F2F
